Maura Parker, DDS
General & Cosmetic Dentist
Dr. Parker is a graduate of Brown University and University of Illinois College of Dentistry. She has practiced in the U.S. and Europe in institutional and private settings, including her tenure as a volunteer forensic dentist at Rhode Island Hospital and the Chief Medical Examiner of Providence, Rhode Island. Dr. Parker is a member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society, Fédération Dentaire Internationale, Ordre National des Chirurgiens-Dentistes and the British Dental Association.
During the course of her career in Europe, she worked as a dentist practicing on U.S. armed forces members and their families in Darmstadt, Germany for six years. She also spent 2005-2017 going back and forth between France and Switzerland before returning in late 2017 to Chicago after an almost 30-year absence from her hometown.
Her exposure and experience with multiple practice styles, philosophies, and languages allows her to bring a broad spectrum of knowledge to her clinical approach, including a fluency in French and German that she gladly offers as an option for patients to discuss their dental care.
Having continued her education in various countries for hundreds of hours, she has selected those techniques and materials which she believes will offer the best outcomes for her patients. Her end goal is to provide conservative treatment options which will allow patients to maintain their dental health and beauty for life, while adapting to their needs and desires.
Dr. Parker is happy to be back in Chicago with her son, a high school freshman, while her husband, a scientist, continues his research in Basel, Switzerland.
