Paraj Patel, DMD
General & Cosmetic Dentist
Dr. Paraj Patel is excited to be joining the Manus Dental Family and is overly enthused to meet all of the lovely patients. He welcomes his patients with a warm smile and takes his time getting to know their background. Dr. Patel places great emphasis on taking a holistic approach, because he feels many health disorders can be eradicated if the body is treated as a whole.
Born in Philadelphia, Dr. Patel’s stay was short-lived in the United States. He and his family traveled back to India soon after he was born, where he spent 11 years. Dr. Patel then migrated to New Jersey where he predominantly received his education. He earned his Bachelors of Science degree in Biological Sciences from New Jersey Institute of Technology/Rutgers State University of New Jersey, and he then went on to receive his Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree form Midwestern University in Downers Grove, IL. After moving to Chicago in 2011, Dr. Patel instantly fell in love with the warm and loving people of the greater Chicagoland area, and saw a promising future here.
Dr. Patel tends to keep busy in his spare time. He has a passion for photography which he inherited from his grandfather from a very young age. He loves to eat, and from what we hear, is a fantastic cook. He loves spontaneous road-trips and enjoys adventuring into new areas.
Dr. Patel is a well-rounded practitioner and focused most of his educational experience on esthetic dentistry and oral surgery. Dr. Patel recently received the Odontographic Society Award for excellence in Clinical skill and leadership, along with Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine Award for Clinical skill and leadership. He is a proud member of Delta Sigma Delta, Academy of General Dentistry, and Chicago Dental Society. He takes a yearly trip to a 3rd world country to provide dental care for the underserved. He also volunteers yearly at the Illinois Mission of Mercy along with Cure-Network, where he volunteers his time to provide care for the underserved population in Illinois.
